Responsibilities

PCG’s Health Practice Area is seeking an experienced Senior Operations Manager with strong financial, data management, and staff supervision experience. PCG Health supports hundreds of healthcare providers, emergency medical service providers, schools, and State Medicaid agencies to complete, review, and process Medicaid and Medicare cost reports, cost allocation plans, time studies, and rate setting efforts. Throughout these project efforts the operations team is responsible for:

+ the intake of financial and statistical data;

+ developing tools for the categorization of cost data by the business team leads;

+ conducting internal trainings for completing the aggregation and automated input of data into approved report templates;

+ ensuring the accuracy of the calculation of results;

+ completing quality assurance processes to ensure cost data reconciles back to source files;

+ performing trend analysis to identify outlier issues; and

+ and preparing client facing reports.

This position is a new and internal facing position within our organization with the intended goal to achieve operational efficiencies, implement more rigor into our operational processes, identify opportunities to introduce new tools or technology to streamline processes, and have an enhanced focus on mitigating risk of current work. This role will be a senior leadership position within our healthcare financing solutions center of excellence (COE) and oversee an operations unit, technology unit, and quality assurance unit.

The Operations Manager will have the opportunity to shape the development and establishment of a revised organizational structure and division, as well as help to realign existing staff into a roles that will better support their career development and allow for further growth in the organization. The Operations Manager will have up to three to five direct reports, as well as indirect reports with an expected team of thirty to forty employees.

Specific Responsibilities

+ Manage the aggregation and processing of financial data for hundreds of healthcare providers, as well as multiple State Medicaid agency clients.

+ Assess current operational processes and recommend opportunities for operational improvement across the COE.

+ Develop work stream processes and implement changes to workstreams as necessary.

+ Ensure open, proactive, and transparent communication with COE management team members and senior project managers.

+ Be collaborative and work closely with product line leads to ensure appropriate planning for future growth, as well as receive feedback openly on what is working or not working with current operational processes.

+ Oversee and be personally responsible for the operations team and direct reports under them and manage the various components of the operational team, which includes data management and processing, training, technology, and quality assurance.

+ Responsible for development, management, and monitoring of key performance indicators across all operational departments.

+ Ability to travel on occasion with advanced notice to meet with staff and attend in person leadership team meetings.

+ Support ad hoc data analysis and requests.

+ Oversee the development of a robust data mart to support more efficient data reporting.

+ Strong Microsoft Office applications skills, especially MS Excel, other database and analysis tools such as Access, SQL and Tableau are also helpful.

+ Strong analytical, interpersonal, organizational, research, presentation, time management and problem-solving skills.

+ Strong quality assurance and improvement skill sets with the ability to evaluate, establish, and implement continuous improvement processes.

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate technically complex developments, issues, and analyses in easy-to-understand and actionable ways.

+ Ability to use sound judgment in completing tasks and to seek guidance when needed.

+ Dedication to accomplishing goals and challenges presented by clients and management.

Required Experience

+ 15+ years of relevant work experience with government and/or nonprofit finance office, accounting firm, consulting firm, Medicaid or other policy office.

+ Management experience overseeing 30+ people and/or large project teams.

+ Bachelor’s degree required, master’s or other graduate degree preferred, preferably with majors or concentrations in public administration, finance, accounting, business management, or another relevant field of study.

Compensation

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.?As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $120,000 – $150,000. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role. .
