This business unit is looking for a Certified Precision Machinist A to join the team.
Primary Responsibilities:+ Safely set up and operating all boring machines, lapping machines, drills, hones, ID/OD grinders, surface grinders, lathes and mills, (manual, NC, and CNC) in the department.
+ Preset tooling for setups and/or tool replacement using department tool setting equipment.
+ Read and thoroughly understand blueprints, Job Instruction Sheets, CMM reports, route cards, overhaul manual instructions (where applicable) and other necessary documentation.
+ Inspect work using (SMI) standard measuring instruments.
+ Tooling and chip-cutting processes to troubleshoot production problems.
+ Perform minor deburring and minor assembly as required.
+ Works normally with a minimum of supervision but may be required to work with supervision and engineering on new procedures/programs etc.
+ Must be able to complete necessary documents and records accurately and legibly.
+ Keeps equipment and surrounding area in a neat and orderly fashion.
Basic Qualifications:+ High School Diploma or equivalent
+ Must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
+ FAA Precision Machining Certificate
+ Journeyman’s Card as Precision Machinist
+ Mazak/Mazatrol programming
