Job Description

DUTIES:       Perform complex analyses and engage in the execution of forecasting models that maximizes profits and asset growth and minimizes credit and operating losses and other risk exposures within the wholesale loan portfolio. Provide analytical support on various product strategies to ensure governance requirements are met. Review and analyze trends in current population distribution and recommend strategies. Develop complex program models to extract data and use databases to provide and perform statistical and financial modelling. Analyze trends in current population distributions and provide forecast reports to senior management and other stakeholders. Work with technology partners and model development teams to implement design requirements, process improvements, and ad-hoc analyses. Assess large data sets to support modelling and corresponding analysis and provide factual illustrative metrics. Assess and forecast wholesale credit risk to provide recommendations for risk mitigation. Utilize statistical methodologies, including econometrics, regression methodologies such as linear, nonlinear, and logistic, and time series analysis. Implement wholesale loss forecasting models to develop overall strategy and satisfy regulatory reporting. Improve loss forecasting processes and reports using data analytics and visualization tools to reduce operational risk.

 

REQUIREMENTS:      Master's degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Analytics, Statistics, Business Administration or related; and 5 years of experience in the job offered or a related quantitative occupation. Must include 5 years of experience in each of the following: Assessing large data sets to support modelling and corresponding analysis and provide factual illustrative metrics; Assessing and forecasting wholesale credit risk to provide recommendations for risk mitigation; Utilizing statistical methodologies, including econometrics, regression methodologies such as linear, non-linear, and logistic, and time series analysis; Implementing wholesale loss forecasting models to develop overall strategy and satisfy regulatory reporting; and, Improving loss forecasting processes and reports using data analytics and visualization tools to reduce operational risk. 10% domestic travel, as necessary.
