Technical Application Specialist (TAS) is responsible for customer support for technical applications involving the use of Core Histology Consumable (CHC) products, and for technical/product training of external and internal customers including Marketing, Sales and Field Applications. In addition, a TAS supports achievement of growth goals for assigned CHC portfolio/systems including clinical evidence development.

This is a hybrid position based at our Richmond, Illinois site.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

+ Provide technical support to customers regarding uses of Core Histology Consumable products.

+ Work with R&D and R&D quality to resolve customer complaints/product issues.

+ Support new product development by performance of internal validation studies and new product training to customers and sales staff.

+ Provide histology training and technical product training to sales and other internal customers.

+ Serve as applications trainer for Leica CHC sales and field technical support specialists.

+ Development and provide presentation of product orientated workshops/seminars.

+ Maintain the Histology Applications Laboratory with respect to equipment, safety standards, GLP, ISO and other quality standards.

+ Ensure compliance with internal quality process and external regulatory organizations.

The essential requirements of the job include:

+ BA/BS degree in chemical or biological sciences

+ Minimum 3-5 years of hands on experience and knowledge of the theories and principles of laboratory science.

+ 10- 20% travel

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

+ Graduate degree in chemical or biological sciences

+ Previous experience as a Histotechnician or in Histology research

+ Knowledge of GLP and CAP requirement in clinical histology environments
