Job Description
Design DCPC plant operations like LPG fractionation, refrigeration, mole sieve dehydration, mercury removal, and hydrogenation and desulfurization (HDS) systems using PROMAX and HYSYS software to improve throughput capacity, improve product quality, and minimize operating costs. Design relief systems including sizing relief valves, flare headers. Sizing process equipment like pumps, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, air coolers, and column internals trays and structured packing. Evaluate process equipment vendor drawings and support in 3-D modeling and plant layout. Develop Process Flow Diagrams and piping and instrumentation diagrams for DCPC facilities. Apply standards & codes such as API, ANSI, ASME, NFPA, OSHA. Propose new applications for improved utilization of existing processing equipment and supervise the capital projects. Manage the DCPC Process Hazard Analysis program. Manage the mechanical integrity and MOC program for all DCPC plant sites. Support the incident investigation program for process related incidents and oversee the implementation of recommendations with DCPC Safety officer. Work with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams performing pre-start-up safety reviews. Perform audit of process safety management systems and execute risk mitigation corrective actions with the technical department. Responsible for compliance with regulations such as OSHA and EPA
Requires bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience or in lieu master’s degree in Chemical Engineering and 3 years of relevant experience.
Requires a minimum of 2 years of experience working with HYSYS and ProMax for process simulation, TYCO software for PSV sizing, Fisher software for Control Valve sizing, Sulcol and KG Tower programs for Process Tower sizing. Design of LPG & NGL Fractionation, Mole sieve Dehydration, Refrigeration, Hydrogenation and Desulfurization.
