The primary focus of the Regional Sales Manager is to manage the PHIL Sales Team, including both Standard Product and Special Product Account Managers. This working, actively selling managerial role will be the primary direct point of contact and immediate direct report for all sales associates and will report directly to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing.
Their secondary focus is to promote and retain the sales of products and services to existing and new mining customers and to prospect and secure an international sales network in select target countries and markets as individually requested. The Regional Sales Manager is to assist in the development of new marketing concepts and programs as they relate to mining and clients primarily in North American. This is accomplished by interpreting Sales forecasts and results, establishing relationships, negotiating business agreements necessary for competing in select markets, and always representing the Company in a positive light.
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for independently managing varied tasks and projects.
Calls on identified target customers within specified markets
Promotes select Company products to identified areas of the United States and Canada, plus international markets and countries as requested by the Company.
Develops in conjunction with the Vice President of Sales & Marketing, compensation plans for sales associates, independent agents, dealers and brokers.
Produces an ongoing sales forecast and reports this on a weekly basis to management.
Presents new products and proposals to Company management.
Provides adequate training to sales associates, third-party personnel, dealers and brokers to ensure future success in these markets.
Ensures that the Sales and Marketing policies and procedures of the Company are carried out in a manner consistent with the goals and objectives set forth by the Vice President of Sales & Marketing.
Assists the Vice President of Sales & Marketing with long-range strategic Company planning.
Creates, maintains, and improves Company relationships with existing customers.
Performs research, as directed by the Vice President of Sales & Marketing, to investigate potential products, services, or niche markets.
Maintains adequate recordkeeping in the CRM database of all accounts, leads, and customer interaction, in a timely manner and enforces this policy throughout the department.
Assures all of of their paperwork is completed accurately and on time and the documentation and required by their sales team.
Updates the CRM database daily, ensures all accuracy.
Strives to meet the sales goals and written plan for their sales effort.
Manages departmental and one-on-one meetings.
Active participation in industry associations as directed by Vice President of Sales & Marketing
Adheres to the provided budget.
Meets or exceeds the sales, independent agent requirements of the sales plan.
Provides the necessary training for all new Company sales representatives working under this position.
Meets or exceeds annual sales goals as outlined by the Vice President of Sales & Marketing.
Maintains, nurtures and motivates for good working relationships among all members of the sales team.
Strives to achieve all monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals, gross profit margins, and contact quotas.
Adheres to all Company and Sales and Marketing Department policies and procedures.
Acts as a liaison between account managers and customers during warranty and support incidents, meeting customer expectations and providing goodwill for future business.
Practices follow-up with customers on all placed quotes that are being directly managed and ensuring timely follow-up by sales team within their respective territories is being done on an ongoing basis.
Ensures sales information flows both horizontally and vertically throughout the Organization to ensure that goals and objectives are achieved.
Makes it understood that the customer is our first priority, and that this position is to support that priority.
Travels and meets with customers, prospects, dealers, brokers, licensees and vendors domestically and internationally as needed.
Performs additional duties and assignments as directed by the Vice President of Sales & Marketing and Company management.
Attends and works industry meetings, trade shows and events as requested by Company management.
Works out of corporate office in Peoria, IL.
Adheres to all US and International laws; MSHA rules, guidelines, laws and directives when on Company or Client properties
