Job Description
- Direct Production Engineering Department.
- Oversee the work of production floor personnel, including managers, engineers, quality control and others.
- Develop short-term and long-term strategic policies and oversee compliance and implementation.
- Set operational and budgetary goals and appoint personnel responsible for implementing such goals.
- Negotiate and approve contracts.
- Approve cabinetry construction methods from basic concepts to fully working design solutions, including follow through to production.
- Analyze, develop, and recommend design approaches necessary to meet production requirements.
- Approve cabinet layout drawings and manufacturing specifications.
- Review cabinet orders to ensure that the design is complete, and any questions are addressed at time of order.
- Work with designer/wholesale manager and production team to resolve design questions.
- Approve a cut list that identifies all parts and machining requirements for the components required to construct the customer's design.
- Oversee personnel responsible for the maintenance, distribution and accuracy of all production and post- production engineering drawings.
- Ensure compliance with budgeting requirements, schedules, and design specifications.
- Coordinate the implementation of engineering change order requests for all related departments.
- Analyze existing operating methods and initiate and develop new method to improve economy and quality.
- Provide support to the Sales, Marketing, and Installation Teams, as required.
- Approve training programs for production technicians and other personnel.
