The Medical Assistant I will assist in surgical procedures under the supervision of the physician. They are also responsible for ensuring the well-being of patients and for providing a positive, supportive environment for patients and other staff while working in conjunction with physicians, front office and clinical staff.
+ Provide best-in-class medical assisting service to patients.
+ Drives efficient patient flow: uses eCW to update patient status throughout visit, promptly room patients, perform Patient Verification process, obtain and document vital signs, take patient photos, and turnover patient rooms.
+ Assist physician and RVTs in surgical procedures.
+ Ensure the procedure rooms are sterile and properly supplied.
+ Ensures procedure rooms are stocked appropriately and communicates with supply chain team as needed.
+ Uphold the superior standards of care outlined by United Vein & Vascular Centers.
+ Other duties as assigned.
+ Minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a patient care setting.
+ Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (AHA) or the ability to obtain within 60 days.
+ Completion of a medical assistant program preferred.
+ CMA or RMA credential preferred.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication.
+ Strong computer skills and experience with electronic medical records.
+ Familiar with medical terminology.
+ Dependable; able to meet reliable attendance and punctuality standards.
