CTG is seeking to fill a Marketing Content Editor to join our team.

Location: Texas or remote

CTG seeks the addition of a collaborative, experienced content leader who fits in with our team and performs well under deadline. This necessitates a hardworking, talented, detail oriented, collaborative team member who will help direct the content function, but is equally eager to roll up their sleeves as needed in support of team success. The Marketing Content Editor will report to the Global Marketing & Communications Director.

The candidate we are seeking is a talented, detail-oriented Content Editor with a B2B technology marketing background and demonstrated experience developing engaging content for the U.S. technology services or solutions market. The successful candidate will be responsible for writing, editing, and tracking SEO-optimized marketing content and demand generation projects, focusing on producing high quality, engaging content that ensures client engagement, brand consistency, and a positive client experience.

This position’s primary task is to edit written content for search engine optimization, lead generation campaigns, and other marketing operations. Leading the Content Team with clarity, organization, grammar, and spelling is critical to the position’s success.

The Marketing Content Editor must be able to:

- Edit and optimize written material to improve clarity, flow, and use, and boost engagement and conversion rates and SEO keyword rankings.

- Present technology-driven products and services into easily understood, digestible, and engaging content while maintaining quality.

- Supervise the development of demand generation campaigns and the development of strong calls to action that convert to marketing qualified leads.

- Ad hoc marketing duties and periodic composing, research, and updating of past articles to maintain accuracy.

Specific responsibilities of this role include:

- Writing copy for web content, email campaigns, and other marketing activities.

- Managing editing projects from the first round of edits to publishing.

- Quickly turning around editing projects without compromising quality.

- Supervise content creation for blogs, email content, presentations, and news articles.

- Using Google Analytics to track content trends.

- Translating complex technology topics into language, the average reader can understand.

- Assisting with other content projects, including, but not limited to, social media, video, and podcasts.

- Staying up to date on industry news.

- Pitching content ideas.

- Collaborating with CTG’s global solutions, development, sales, marketing, and design teams and external Marketing partners.

- Set clear goals and expectations and provide regular feedback and guidance to help your employees achieve them.

- Encourage your employees to take on new challenges and responsibilities that will help them grow and develop their skills.

- Foster a culture of trust, respect, and accountability, and hold yourself and your employees to high standards of professionalism and integrity.

Qualifications:

- BFA/BS in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or any relevant degree or equivalent experience.

- At least five years of professional B2B editing and writing experience.

- Ability to provide examples of previous writing efforts and articulate clearly the role played in the development of samples.

- Experience evaluating and editing written content.

- Excellent organizational skills.

- Understanding of SEO best practices.

- Flexibility to work extended hours, as needed, to collaborate with global team members.
