Job Description

The Assistant Vice President Cloud Platform IT is responsible for the implementation of applications onto cloud platforms and execution of the cloud strategy for Prime Therapeutics. The Cloud Platform leader will establish discipline on cloud migration planning and execution. This role will lead and streamline services across cloud hosting vendors, tools and automation of Infrastructure as code. This position will also own the strategy to exit Prime data centers enabling Prime’s vision to become a cloud first based company.

Responsibilities

+ Establish cloud technology standards using modern cloud native architecture, serverless and container services; drive the evolution of partner relationships with all cloud services providers and ensures cloud technology roadmaps align with the market

+ Provide both work direction and strategic leadership to the Cloud team to effectively deliver infrastructure platform; ensure solutions support widescale adoption of cloud solutions while transforming the cloud infrastructure teams

+ Indirectly lead a team accountable for technical governance across infrastructure products, technical debt remediation and the financials supporting an efficient and effective Cloud footprint for Prime including incident response; build self-healing systems aligned to IT Service Management Enterprise standards and ongoing maintenance and operational readiness for establishing and transitioning to Site Reliability Engineering disciplines

+ Partner with Prime service providers to ensure successful business outcomes while validating the service levels meet business needs

+ Build an operations organization accountable for solution Engineering, Operations Monitoring and Level 1 and Level 2 support playbooks used within the command center area for 24/7 support

+ Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS Diploma or GED is required

+ 12 years of infrastructure and data center delivery experience including a minimum of 10 years in technical engineering, architecture or development roles

+ 8 years of IT leadership experience managing cross functional, sources or matrixed teams

Additional Qualifications

+ Demonstrated success executing and leading large-scale initiatives and transformations in a high-pressure environment

+ Deep understanding of infrastructure automation, instrumentation and full stack technologies; previous experience with distributed infrastructure engineering

+ Demonstrated ability to assess customer/client needs and develop creative solutions

+ Solid understanding of DevSecOps philosophy and scaled agile methodologies

+ Strong negotiating, influencing and problem resolution skills

Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience managing budgets in excess of $20M

+ Experience designing and running a range of open-source tools and distribution engines

+ Pharmacy Benefit Management or health care experience

+ ITIL v3 or v4 Certified

Minimum Physical Job Requirements

+ Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear

+ Frequently required to reach with hands and arms

+ Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch

+ Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

+ Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Reporting Structure

+ Reports to a Vice President in the Information Technology department

Potential pay for this position ranges from $162,400.00 – $259,200.00 based on experience and skills. Pay range may vary by 8% depending on applicant location.
