Responsibilities

  • Apply prescribed methods to complete limited and specific portions of the broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
  • Adjust and correlate data, recognize discrepancies in results and follow operations through a series of related detailed steps of processes.
  • Exercise limited judgment in making preliminary method selections and the adoption of alternatives.
  • Work under general supervision.
  • Assist in client and sub-consultant contact and communication about specific projects.
  • Attend client meetings.
  • Assist in the preparation or modification of reports, design computations, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, permits, and designs.
  • Contribute to the development of probable construction cost estimates for your projects.
  • Review construction site to monitor progress and other duties based on the contract documents.
  • Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
  • Occasionally be assisted by CADD designers.
  • Be responsible for project quality on tasks assigned as defined in the Quality Assurance / Quality Control guidelines.
