The Sr. Continuous Improvement (CI) Engineer will identify and drive operations and supply chain improvements in order to meet or exceed safety, quality, delivery, cost, and efficiency goals. The Sr. CI Engineer will train and implement lean principles by supporting local sites, and other US based manufacturing sites and distribution centers This position will work closely with all levels of assigned locations to ensure that best practices and continuous improvement are a part of our culture.

This position will be based out of the Chicago metropolitan area, supporting both local distribution centers and offices with frequent travel to other US based manufacturing and distribution centers.

How You Will Help:
  • Collaborate with site teams to deploy a local lean strategy to achieve business objectives and financial targets.
  • Implement lean and continuous improvement initiatives including value steam mapping processes, kaizen events, 5S, visual factory, and other lean tools and principles in alignment with the ASC Business System
  • Engage with leadership at various facilities to set specific targets to functionally and strategically achieve improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Innovation metrics.
  • Deploy lean daily management and drive adoption of standard work, deploy proven problem-solving methods at all levels
  • Drive the kaizen event and continuous improvement funnel from identification of opportunities to full implementation of improvements.
  • Support building strong location teams by mentoring and coaching, and providing formal and informal lean training at all levels
  • Analyze site issues regarding costs, profits, margins, capacity utilization, yields, and supply chain sources effectively distilling information into actionable projects.
  • Support technology innovation throughout the network
  • Engage in the company wide network of CI practitioners to accelerate best practice sharing, process and tool development.

What You Will Have:
