Shipping/Receiving Clerk
Coilcraft is a successful, privately held company in Cary, IL, with a worldwide reputation for high-quality passive electronic components. Coilcraft operates in a wide range of industries, including telecommunications, computers, automotive, aerospace, and consumer electronics.
We have an opening for a Shipping/Receiving Clerk.
Job Responsibilities:
Keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments
Prepare items for shipment.
Monitor incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure shipment accuracy, completeness, and condition.
Verify the accuracy of shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records.
Consult with management to clarify department priorities, identify problems, and suggest changes for improvement.
Determine shipping priorities and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
Inspect loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications.
Inspect material handling equipment for defects and notify maintenance personnel or contact outside service facility for repair.
Direct movement of shipments from shipping and receiving areas to storage and/or work areas.
Compile records of unfilled orders and post weight and shipping charges. *Prepare required department records and reports.
Recommend measures to improve productivity, equipment performance, and service quality, and suggest changes in working conditions to increase.
And other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
5+ years of related experience
Computer literacy is a must
Ability to operate a forklift
Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, kneel, and lift cumbersome and/or heavy
