Description There’s currently a long-term contract / temporary opportunity at Robert Half for an experienced Senior Accountant with an eye for accuracy and a knack for solving complex problems. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Key responsibilities
- Operate with business partners to create compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests
- Other projects as required
- Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
- Be a part of various department-wide initiatives
- Carry out monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
- Prepare reconciliations of Balance Sheet accounts
- Constantly improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
- Ready monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
- Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors Requirements – Proven ability to work and communication well with manager-level associates
- Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience
- Self-starter and strong ethical standards
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Awarding Contracts experience
- Auditing experience highly desired
- Strong familiarity with Annual Revenue
- Foundational knowledge in billing
- Expertise in Contract Compliance
- Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment
- Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
- Efficient in ERP systems
- BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
- Demonstrated ability in strong analytical, quantitative and social skills
- Outstanding skills in analyzing financial data and promptly generating accurate reports
- This role would be best suited to candidates with financial reporting proficiency
- SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus
