ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Is this the right position to help you achieve your professional goals? Some of the key responsibilities for the position include:
Supporting projects involving due diligence with substantial historical research including ASTM-compliant Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
Developing compliance documents and permit applications associated with the Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA).
Supporting litigation projects in these compliance areas.
Contributing to the preparation of technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.
Supporting site characterization and remediation projects.
Preparing technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.
Developing task, project, and client management skills.
Additionally, the selected candidate may be asked to support environmental permitting and compliance services in related disciplines, such as those driven by the National Environmental Policy Act.

Here are some other things you should know about our typical practitioner position:
Training: This position requires OSHA health and safety, first aid, and CPR training and medical monitoring, paid for by the firm. We also offer professional development opportunities including in-house seminars, webinars, and mentoring, that allow our professionals to build the technical and business skills necessary to become successful consultants.
Fieldwork: Up to 40%
Overnight travel: Up to 20%

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE
Bachelor's degree in environmental or chemical engineering or related discipline. (required)
Advanced degree (M.S.) in environmental or chemical engineering. (preferred)
Engineer in Training (EIT) or similar type of professional certification in your field or working towards certification. (preferred)
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
At least 2 years (5+ preferred) years of experience working in a consulting or manufacturing or industrial environment, with a working knowledge of industrial processes, and their impacts to the environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
Experience providing multi-media environmental compliance services, such as compliance assessments and audits. (preferred)
Excellent writing and communication skills. (required)
Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to environmental compliance, assessments. (preferred)
Prior experience in environmental consulting. (preferred)
Experience with Microsoft Office products. (required)
Experience with GIS and databases. (preferred)
Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (required)
Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
