Overview

Our Rail division is an industry leader in offering customized leasing and financing solutions and a highly efficient, diversified fleet of railcar assets to freight shippers and carriers throughout North America and Europe. Our Rail division is headquartered in Chicago, IL.
Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:
Assist with the monthly forecasting process to forecast maintenance spend by transaction / car and repair type.
Provide variance analysis of monthly repair data from multiple sources to develop trend analysis reporting to make recommendations to the team for budget optimization. While assisting in documenting and producing our monthly Mechanical Reporting Performance Package.
Administer all Railinc/UMLER activities and initiatives to ensure fleet reliability, data accuracy and integrity.
Represent CIT at Railinc/UMLER/Billing Industry functions.
Assist with CIT Rebuttal billing process, reconciling fleet to determine proper party to rebill to maximize CIT's rebuttal billing recapture rate while minimizing customer dissatisfaction.
Assist with CIT Rail's annual internal-audit representing the Mechanical Department in early planning meetings.
Ensure all department policies and procedures are properly documented in accordance to CIT corporate policy, updating and creating new procedures as necessary.
Support the establishment of systems development standards for pulling all third-party systems/data into CRMS for data consistency and accuracy.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required
Minimum 3 years Rail Mechanical experience
Other Qualifications:
Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office
Must be extremely organized and have strong attention to detail
Must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with teams
Must have strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced Excel skills (lookup and pivot tables usage)

Desired qualifications would also include SQL data querying and BI tool (Power BI or Qlikview preferred) experience
