Description:

• Troubleshoot day-to-day process problems, implement creative solutions, and validate effectiveness of changes communicating improvements.

• Identify root causes and implement corrective actions to address Safety, Quality, Velocity, and Cost opportunities identified through projects.

• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) process to ensure that engineering drawings are released/ processed on time and assembly process is aligned to manufacturing requirements within program timelines.

• Develop, implement, and maintain shop floor processes managing standard work, routings/work instructions, BOM/MBOM, ergonomic requirements, tooling, lifting devices, SFMEA, PFMEA, control plans, flow diagrams.

• Analyze and recommend current and future systems, procedures, training, and equipment needs based upon understanding and communication with shop floor users, Operations staff, Safety and CPPD with design engineering.

• Manage expense and capital requirements as it relates to Assembly areas, NPI, product capacity increases, equipment replacement and day to day continuous process improvement requirements.

• Improve value stream metrics by defining and implementing process improvement activities.

• Provides technical expertise and guidance to the value stream for Assembly processes.

• Thorough knowledge of manufacturing concepts (Lean Manufacturing, 6-Sigma, in process validations (IPV’s), Poka-Yoke design, System/Tooling Controls, etc.)

• Ability to learn and manage new computer systems (VPPA, MESA, Capp+, PINpoint)
