Job Summary

The Senior Specialist Patient Engagement is responsible for creating and executing an innovative patient experience and marketing strategy for specific products and services that support business growth and key objectives for offerings through unique and competitive pharmacy healthcare positioning.

Job Responsibilities

+ Work independently to develop strategy and drive all phases of project development through execution; create project briefs and recommend activations and tactics to achieve project objectives; develop and manage business unit marketing budgets

+ Work collaboratively with several cross-functional groups and other shared service teams to develop patient materials, secure approval, communicate status and achieve production deadlines (e.g., printed collateral, digital strategy, promotional programs, event strategies and online marketing programs)

+ Perform ongoing audits of existing patient material to ensure consistency of messaging, adherence to brand guidelines, compliance and product/service accuracy

+ Create unique and differentiated product/service value propositions and craft messaging tailored to various customer and channel segments

+ Recommend and execute programs to drive customer satisfaction, optimal patient experience and loyalty

+ Review and collaborate to develop measurement plans to pinpoint effectiveness of communication strategies and tactics on adherence and patient satisfaction

+ Maintain current, strong knowledge of product/service capabilities, internal operations processes and competitive maneuvers

+ Define product/service and customer research needs; analyzes results and determines actionable takeaways; and makes recommendations to business partners to enhance product/service offerings and/or enhance the customer experience

+ Coordinate and align department’s plans, programs, and processes with internal and external partners (operations, vendors, eCommerce, internal and external communications, legal) that affect their areas, and encourages feedback from internal partners to increase productivity

+ Other responsibilities as judgment or necessity dictate

Physical Requirements

+ Constantly (67-100% of time OR 6 or more hours) required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear

+ Frequently (34-66% of time OR 4-6 hours ) required to reach with hands and arms

+ Occasionally (0-33% of time OR 1-3 hours) required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch

+ Occasionally (0-33% of time OR 1-3 hours) required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

+ Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Minimum Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related area of study; or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience

+ 5 years’ experience in marketing and/or communications working collaboratively with internal cross-functional and external vendor teams to develop strategies that meet business goals within budget and guidelines

Additional Qualifications

+ Demonstrated project management skills, including planning, organizing and managing resources and timelines to bring about successful completion of specific project goals and objectives; experience using analytics and return on investment measures to refine programs

+ Experience developing and delivering comprehensive presentations to various audience levels within an organization, including senior management

+ Ability to identify operational issues/risks and recommend and implement strategies to resolve problems

+ Proven skills in current versions of Microsoft Office Suite: PowerPoint (advanced level), Excel (intermediate level) and Word (intermediate level)

+ Ability to travel up to 20% of time for business purposes

Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience in strategic marketing or product marketing preferably in health and wellness industry (including Managed Care, Pharmaceutical, and Hospital Systems) or work in creative agency or consulting firm
