Responsibilities This position allows for a hybrid work schedule with a mix of work spent in our Chicago office and working remote from home . We are seeking a corporate design intern who will aid in the implementation of company facilities and space planning activities. Responsibilities include:

+ Update Chicago and regional offices floor plan as-builts, convert space plan and construction drawings to as-built floor plans in AutoCad, assist with uploading and linking space identifiers into the facility management software.

+ Update as-built documentation with finish material selections installed.

+ Assist with design, space planning, finish and furniture selections, review of furniture vendor specification drawings. Assist with design presentations as needed.

Qualifications Other qualifications include:

+ Should be in the 3rd or 4th year interior design or interior architecture program with a focus on corporate office interiors.

+ Fluent in AutoCad, Photoshop a plus.

+ Knowledge of office furniture systems such as Steelcase, furniture specifications.

+ Good office space planning skills

+ Detail oriented team player able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment

+ PC proficiency, solid MS Excel & Word skills

+ Excellent data entry skills

+ Complete heavy workload within established time frames

+ Able to multi-task with strong problem solving skills

+ Ability to follow through on initiatives for complete resolution

+ Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

+ Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
