Job Description

This position will support financial forecasting, analysis and valuation of credit card campaigns, including Portfolio Engagement and Rewards offers such as Usage, Upgrades, E-Commerce and Credit Line Increases. This position will also support cross functional initiatives such as Direct Mail Acquisitions and Balance Generation as needed. The person in this role will be responsible for gathering insights from historic data, applying them to develop financial forecasts, run financial models and aggregations, advise on the profitability of the targeted customer segments, and flag any potential risks or opportunities associated with those segments. Other key responsibilities include:

+ Analyze and interpret key performance data and communicate findings and recommendations

+ Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of potential campaigns

+ Interact with cross functional teams (e.g. Risk Management, Product, Marketing, etc.) on developing financial assumptions and potential offer structures

+ Conduct ad-hoc analyses and prepare presentations to meet financial, regulatory/compliance, strategic or risk/opportunity sizing goals

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

+ Thorough knowledge of valuation techniques and financial metrics including NPV, IRR, ROA/ROE and other profitability metrics

+ Knowledge of credit card economics and key drivers preferred

+ Experience using and interpreting financial models

+ Ability to present complex data in a comprehensive yet succinct manner

+ Ability work independently to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

+ Ability to think “big-picture” while maintaining attention to detail

+ Ability to read, analyze, and interpret data

+ Ability to forge strong working relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

+ Flexibility/Adaptability

+ Ability to deal with changing priorities and multitask

Preferred Skills/Experience

+ Strong interpersonal skills

+ Critical Thinking

+ Interest in learning new concepts and acquiring new skills

+ Knowledge of bank-specific financial statements and key metrics (P&L, balance sheet, capital)

+ Experience using tools such as SAS/SQL preferred

+ MBA and/or CFA preferred
