This is an on-site position.
40 Hours | Flexible schedule to meet department needs to include possible evenings and weekends.
 Position Summary
Produce, modify, and maintain the College web and social media presence, including user interface, responsive design, and content management.
 Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

Makes decisions to improve and update responsive design for all devices as technology evolves
Ensure that the College website(s) meets AA (double A) standards as applied to web accessibility requirements, and that those sites display well on a variety of devices
Work with the Content Marketing Writer to produce new content and repurpose existing content, utilizing best practices in writing for the web and valid standards compliant code
Apply search engine optimization (SEO) knowledge to optimize web content to ensure search engine viability
Conduct regular usability testing to ensure a cohesive, functional, and dynamic website
Collaborate with internal clients to produce and edit appropriate content for posting, updating, or correcting online information as necessary
Maintain documentation and provide reports of website and social media activity, including analytics and tagging
Collaborate with College departments to ascertain the completeness, accuracy, relevance, timeliness of data, and information posted on the MCC website for audit and verification purposes
Assist other College departments with advertising, marketing, recruiting, retention, and fundraising through online strategy
Partner with Coordinator of Web Strategy to establish guidelines for MCC?s web and social presence
Support the Coordinator of Web Strategy and the Executive Director of Marketing and Creative Services on web initiatives and budgets
Work with Information Technology department on web-related security issues
Work with graphic design team to align look/feel of website and social media with other print communication channels
Manage content and administration of college Intranet for employees (in collaboration with IT)
Demonstrate an understanding of project management methodology and utilize project management concepts and resources in executing daily work
Demonstrate the ability to approach complex problems and deliver appropriate solutions
Support and assist in the College's academic mission, marketing, and promotional campaigns
Produce and edit content for social media, including some video, and monitor social media properties
Manage and monitor paid advertising campaigns on social media channels
Produce content for digital signage
Assist in developing and executing a comprehensive social media plan for the College
Plan and implement continuity/disaster recovery of web communications in crisis situations
Operate as administrator of Cascade content management system (CMS), including security (managing users, groups, and roles within the CMS), accessibility checking, managing workflow and publish triggers, and work as liaison with CMS website hosting company
Facilitate Cascade CMS user training and support
Create and configure Cascade CMS templates, including Velocity, a java-based template engine
Troubleshoot Cascade CMS applications and custom-developed tools
Collaborate with third party developers to create custom tools for internal MCC customers (liaison between client, MCC I, and developers)
Provide CSS maintenance and/or support for college partnered tools (e.g., Cascade CMS, Presto, CMS, Lumens, Career Coach, Acalog, PeopleAdmin, and myMCC)
Work collaboratively with others (e.g. colleagues, stakeholders, vendors) to accomplish functions and responsibilities
Assume additional duties as assigned by immediate supervisor
 Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in Graphic Design/Interactive Design, website development, or equivalent work-related experience. Associate's degree from a regionally accredited institution combined with 6+ years of work experience will be considered
Five years of professional experience in a similar position in a team environment
Extensive experience with web publishing/imaging applications: Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat
Proficient in HTML and CSS
Experience managing website content
Experience managing multiple social media platforms
Demonstrated background in successful teamwork
Extensive knowledge of Cascade server environment
