The Aftermarket NPI Lead will report to the Motor Grader Life Cycle Manager and is a part of a team that owns the Aftermarket business for all size MGs from design to end of life.

The Aftermarket NPI Lead will be responsible for execution of the Aftermarket activities during NPI (New Product Introduction), NTI (New Technology Introduction), NSI (New Source Introduction), and NMI (New Market Introduction). In this role, you will lead efforts to profitably grow and manage MG parts and services by providing strategic, technical, and marketing support to ensure we create the best value for the customer. You will collaborate across multiple business partners throughout the enterprise to ultimately deliver differentiated aftermarket and services solutions to the market.

Job Duties:

+ Define aftermarket parts growth strategies for new product development

+ Maintaining and updating strategic plans for technology adoption that drive aftermarket growth

+ Understand customer aftermarket needs and gaps

+ Support engineering to deliver an easily serviced product which enables improved aftermarket experience for the customers

+ Execute APPG (Aftermarket Parts Protection & Growth) activities through parts summit, IP, branding, parts commonality, repair options, upgrades and retrofits

+ Define inventory and parts stock plans

+ Manage carry over and new parts OPPAC-C (Operating Profit After Capital Charge)

+ Collaborate with aftermarket commercial organizations to capture Voice of Customer (VOC) and Voice of Dealer (VOD) around services growth opportunities to ensure strong go-to-market alignment on NPI content

+ Representative for MG Aftermarket NPI and report out to Leadership

+ Travel (up to 10% working time)

Basic Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of professional experience

+ 7+ years of experience in Aftermarket, Product Support, NPI, or Engineering functional roles

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

+ Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask across multiple programs

+ Excellent communication skills and ability to present confidently to large audiences at all levels

+ Diverse career experiences working in multiple job functions/areas (examples include Aftermarket, Product Support, NPI,Engineering, and Cost)

+ Knowledge of Motor Grader customer applications

+ Familiarity with Caterpillar’s existing aftermarket commercial offerings
