The Associate Manager, Sustainable Packaging Strategy will join PepsiCo’s Global Sustainability Office to support our pep+ sustainable packaging agenda and our vision to create a world where packaging never becomes waste. This role will partner with global Sector and Functional teams to develop programs to reduce, reuse, and reinvent plastics packaging – providing critical guidance and execution support to accelerate performance and achieve our 2030 goals.

Many of the sustainable packaging challenges PepsiCo faces require strategic collaboration with partners throughout our value chain. The successful candidate will work constructively with a variety of internal colleagues across different functional and geographic backgrounds as well as a portfolio of external partners spanning different subject matter focus areas, all to support the execution of PepsiCo’s sustainable packaging agenda.

Responsibilities
* Manage current global partnership workstreams
* Manage partner/project portfolio and establish processes to improve a) our internal coordination across multiple projects and b) the efficacy of ongoing projects to contribute to our 2030 sustainable packaging goals
* Coordinate with strategic partners like Closed Loop Partners or Circulate Capital to identify, plan, and execute projects that focus on ‘impact capital’ solutions along our value chain

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s Degree in business and/or related areas (business administration, sustainability, public policy, environmental sciences) required; Master’s degree preferred
* 3-5+ years of demonstrated experience in program/project implementation, especially in areas related to sustainability, circular economy, and packaging

Preferred Qualifications:
* Outstanding multi-stakeholder project/leadership management skills and proven ability to effectively collaborate across range of internal/external stakeholders to deliver project outcomes
* Strong modeling, data, and analytical skills
* Experience developing presentation materials for an executive audience
* Strong understanding of corporate sustainability landscape, trends, and emerging issues, particularly those related to the circular economy

Key Competencies and ‘Soft Skills’:
* Strong time/project management skills, ability to handle multiple projects, set priorities, and create/deliver against action plans
* Ability to remain results-oriented in ambiguous, complex, and less-structured environments
* Communication skills of consensus-building, facilitating, influencing, and negotiating
* Ability to think strategically and apply analytical frameworks to reach conclusions
* Able to effectively work with people from various cultures and levels of matrixed organization to drive results
* Curiosity and ability to learn, ‘connect the dots’, and build multi-functional networks
* Passion for sustainability and motivation to drive meaningful change
* Foreign language skills a plus

Compensation and Benefits:
* The expected compensation range for this position is between $100,000 to $125,000 based on a full-time schedule
* Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary
* Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 10% of annual salary paid out Annually.
* Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement
