Ameresco has a NEW opportunity for an Energy & Sustainability Intern to join Ameresco's Central Region Project Development Team based in Evanston, Illinois or Oak Brook, Illinois. This is a paid internship (32- 40 hours per week) scheduled for January thru March.
Collaborate with Engineers to provide project support for development, design, construction, and post-construction activities;
Provide assistance with energy assessments including baseline profiles, end-use, and retrofit analysis;
Analyze utility bill data and sub-meter data for buildings or for building systems;
Assist with the assessment of project requirements to evaluate opportunities for energy efficiency;
Analyze and document building, mechanical, electrical, controls, and plumbing systems;
Investigate, analyze, and document energy conservation and water cost reduction measures;
Prepare technical content, proposals, analysis, feasibility reports and provide critical peer review;
Foster effective and positive business relationships with all parties throughout project phases and
Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
Northwestern University Student currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in science or engineering with an interest in Energy and/or Sustainability.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Proven ability to gather, validate, and analyze quantitative data and information.
Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Excel.
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills required.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
