Receiving Associate (1st Shift)

Job Description

As a Receiving Associate, your role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of inventory within the organization with our brand new D365 system! You will be responsible for handling incoming shipments, verifying their contents, and accurately documenting received goods. Your attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to work collaboratively with various teams will contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Primary Tasks:

+ Performing receiving and put away transactions in D365

+ Posting receiving transactions

+ Setting up and posting put away transactions

+ Reporting discrepancies between planned and actual receiving activity

+ Inspecting materials received

+ Reporting on discrepancies and quarantining materials as necessary

+ Counting and recording inventory received

+ Completing documentation and reports for inbound shipments

Secondary Tasks:

+ Maintaining a safe, clean and orderly work area

+ Unloading shipments from carriers

+ Putting away received inventory

+ Other duties as assigned

Education:

+ High school diploma or equivalent

Training:

+ RF scanning equipment

+ Receiving work instructions

Skills:

+ Basic math skills

+ Ability to follow work instructions and procedures

+ Ability to work with WMS software

Experience:

+ Receiving experience desired

Desired Skills:

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills

+ Ability to learn and work with Solochain

+ Flexibility in daily work hours worked based on workloads

+ Ability to stand for extended periods of time

+ Ability to move and climb mobile safety ladder

+ Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds

+ Strong attention to detail

+ Ability to work with and meet deadlines

+ Ability to work in a team environment

+ Ability to drive a forktruck

+ Problem solving ability
