In this role, normal work hours are 40/week with 55 average hours in the 8-week busy season. The firm offers a comprehensive compensation package, including 401k, a company-paid profit-sharing plan, comprehensive group insurance, and a choice of either compensation for overtime, compensating time off, or any combination you prefer.
Responsibilities:
Review and prepare Individual (Form 1040), Partnership (Form 1065), Corporate (Form 1120 and 1120S) and Trust (Form 1041) Income Tax Returns
Research and draft memorandum involving complex tax matters
Identify and implement tax planning opportunities for clients
Work with staff to develop tax competencies and align on best practices
Present on technical topic(s) for staff training
Requirements:
Hybrid option with a minimum 3 days required in our office
Bachelor's degree in accounting
Master of Science in Taxation is a plus
Must be a CPA or CPA candidate
2-3+ years tax experience preferred
Experience with individual, partnership, corporate and trust tax returns
Strong technical skills pertaining to tax preparation and review, tax compliance, agency correspondence and tax research
