Job Description
Job Responsibilities30% 1. Under general direction, serves as a Webmaster for the Department of Innovation & Technology/Department of Public Health (DoIT/DPH):
• Performs complex and specialized development and analysis functions for major web platform applications and web services.
• Develops project plans, system diagrams, program design specifications, audit trails, control procedures and the coding and testing of computer programs and systems.
• Adapts and applies general policies or procedures along with new methods devised to meet frequently changing and new requirements.
• Analyzes and interprets data and/or procedural applications to address problems and situations which are not clearly defined.
• Utilizes Web portal host applications, Adobe Experience Manager, SharePoint, ASP.NET/.NET, C#, Visual Basic, Team Foundation Server framework, JAVA application development tools, SQL Server Databases and business intelligence tools including Business Objects in performance of duties.
• Works outside of normal work hours to meet deadlines.
25% 2. Performs professional advisory functions for Information Technology (IT) staff and clients on web portal, intranet and web applications:
• Provides specialized technical information and problem-solving assistance to IT staff and clients.
• Consults with user representatives to develop information technology solutions to existing or prospective applications of normal complexity.
• Performs feasibility studies to determine the practicality of revising existing systems or developing new systems of normal complexity and documents results.
25% 3. Creates and modifies requirements, design documents, specifications, procedures, records and report formats and forms layout for applications of normal complexity:
• Assists in the creation of logical data designs.
• Participates in scheduled and emergency off-hours web application, maintenance, testing and problem resolution.
• Participates in business hour, off-hour, off-grid and live report functions related to performance metrics and business continuity processes.
