Senior Manager, Mergers & Acquisitions (Multiple Positions), PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Chicago, IL. Help clients meet and manage their tax obligations across unique but ever-changing tax specialties. Help clients provide value through digitization, automation, and increase efficiencies. Demonstrate the ability to research business and industry trends to assist clients with leveraging proposals and considering opportunities across multiple lines of service. Advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing indirect taxes, dispute resolution, and global enterprise tax solutions. Assist clients with various aspects of a merger and acquisition transactions such as restructuring, divestiture, partnerships and insolvency. Build and maintain networks of client relationships. Responsible for project workflow, budgets, and collections. Help clients establish treasury goals, analyze and quantify tax assets, assess tax risks, and model taxable income and cash flow impacts.

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Taxation, Business Administration, or a related field, plus 6 years of work related experience, of which 5 years must be post-bachelor, progressive, related work experience.

In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Taxation, Business Administration, or a related field plus 4 years of related work experience.

Certification(s) required: U.S. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, Enrolled Agent, or Member of the Bar or foreign equivalent.

Must have at least one year of experience with each of the following:

  • Performing US federal income tax research associated with a wide variety of mergers and acquisitions transactions ranging from high-profile leveraged buyout deals to internal entity restructurings;
  • Reviewing client’s potential acquisition targets or portfolio companies’ entity structure, historical restructuring transactions and tax profiles to assess any potential tax exposures for the client going forward after acquisition or to prepare the client for disposing a portfolio company; and,
  • Providing various ad-hoc partnership related tax consulting services to internal practice teams, as well as to clients.

80% telecommuting permitted. Must be able to commute to the designated local office.

Travel up to 20% is required.
