Job Description
Description:
+ Provide construction observation to townships, municipalities, and counties for a variety of municipal projects throughout the Chicago suburbs from North Aurora, IL to West Dundee. Travel throughout the week to support different job sites.
+ Provide development oversight for green fields, converting green fields to residential developments, water main, sewage/utility improvements, etc.
+ Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, engineers, and clients throughout the construction lifecycle.
+ Prepare, modify, and update engineering and construction documents and reports. This can include schedules, project cost estimates, specifications, plans, etc.
+ Use reports, drawings, engineering plans, and other documents to ensure zoning and permitting requirements are met according to local agencies.
+ Work directly with project managers and other team members to ensure project tasks and assignments are met.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering field. Would consider an Associate or Technical degree relating to civil engineering or construction technologies.
+ MINIMUM one year of experience in the field/construction site experience; IDEAL 2-5 years of experience
+ Has a reliable source of transportation
+ Must be reliable, adaptable/flexible to changing schedules, organized, and has a positive attitude.
Nice to Have:
CAD experience
Desired career path of as a Resident Engineer, Construction Engineer, or Civil Inspector
