Responsibilities

RN Transition Fellowship Program – Surgery

Thank you for your interest in the RN Transition Fellowship Program at Northridge Hospital Medical Center (NHMC). This innovative program features a challenging program blending classroom didactics with clinical experience.

Our next RN Transition Fellowship program will begin on September 3rd, 2023. Candidates must have at least 2 years acute care experience to be eligible for this program with the exception of the Medical Surgical positions which only require 1 year RN experience.

Positions are limited and early application is encouraged. Application period is open May 1st – May 14th, 2023 at 11:59PM ( ONLY ) . Applications must be received by the deadline, no exceptions. Only application packets that are complete will be considered.

Qualifications

Minimum

+ Graduate of Accredited RN school of Nursing required.

+ Completion of an approved Basic Arrhythmia course prior to the start of the transition program (unless otherwise agreed upon by Unit Director and Education department to complete during the program) or

+ Minimum 2 years of RN experience in an acute care setting required.

+ Registered Nurse with current CA License and current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider card required.

+ ACLS PALS (per unit requirements)

+ Successful completion of a formal Dignity Health interview process; the overall scoring of the interview consensus will be taken into consideration in determining the selection of candidate(s).

+ Current employees: Must be in good standing with no disciplinary actions within the past twelve(12) months and with at least a Meets standards on the last 2 perfomance evaluations.

Preferred

+ BSN / MSN preferred.
