About Visionary Eyecare
Established in 2011, Visionary Eyecare offers a total eye care experience to residents and families in the Chippewa Valley. The team of Optometrists and support staff go above and beyond to ensure patients are educated about eye health and provide advanced care options to ensure clear vision and healthy eyes. The practice specializes in comprehensive eye care, medical eye care, surgical co-management, and contact lens fittings. To support business growth, expand to accommodate three full-time doctors, and offer new specialty services such as vision therapy, specialty contact lenses, and a dry eye clinic, Visionary Eyecare is looking to add an Optometrist to the team of 9 employees.
This practice uses state-of-the-art vision care technology to diagnose and treat a wide array of eye diseases. The practice is well-appointed with automated optical equipment and behind-the-scenes functional technology, including Marco digital phoropters, Maestro OCT, and Optomap retinal imaging. Customers enjoy exploring a wide selection of fashionable frames and designer frames from a full-service optical department-plus, an on-site finishing lab is ready to serve patients conveniently.
About the Full-Time Optometrist Opening
Visionary Eyecare is seeking a full-time Optometrist committed to providing personalized and individualized eye and vision care for all patients. You'll perform comprehensive eye exams for all ages, contact lens fittings, and monitor ocular diseases-comprehensive exams are conducted every 20-30 minutes with a total of 15-20 exams per day-plus additional contact lens checks and emergency visits. The practice is looking for a personable team player and shares the practice's affinity to give back to the Altoona community.
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, communication, interpersonal skills, and compassion for patient health and safety. In addition, the ideal candidate will want to continuously develop skills through mentorship with experienced doctors, be willing to integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services and be involved within the community.
Minimum qualifications include:
Optometry degree from an accredited school of optometry
Valid optometry license in the state of Wisconsin
