Email a Friend Save Save Apply Now Position Summary: The Logistics Associate is responsible for the distribution of linen, medical supplies and medical equipment to patient care areas and throughout the Carle organization. Demonstrates high levels of commitment and service to supporting patient care operations. Qualifications: EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS None specified CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS None specified EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Operations – Warehousing/Distribution – Operations-Warehousing General SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Individuals must possess strong oral and written communications skills, command of the English language, ability to effectively and efficiently resolve problems, ability to prioritize a changing workload, ability and comfort working in a fast paced and physically challenging environment requiring multi-tasking. Essential Functions:+ Assume a daily workload that includes: exchanging linen carts and soiled linen, distributing medical supplies and medical equipment to and from nursing units as scheduled; maintaining fire safety on the nursing units by keeping halls free of equipment; performing order picking functions for on-line or manual requisitions.
+ Collaborates with patient care areas to manage utilization of supplies while ensuring patient care needs are consistently met on demand and as scheduled.
+ Performs basic maintenance tasks on medical equipment such as, but not limited to, sanitizing, replacement of rubber feet, and rust removal and assessing need to replace and/or order additional equipment to support patient care operations.
