HDR is looking for a Civil Site Engineer to join our Chicago / Rosemont, Illinois office. They will be responsible for the design of facilities related sites in support of a variety of markets including Water/Wastewater, Municipal, Industrial, and Federal. They will be expected to coordinate and work closely with a multi-discipline design team throughout the entire life cycle of projects from planning stages, through the development of construction documents, and construction administration. They will be responsible for the development of construction drawings, specifications, and supporting engineering calculations, as well as the review of shop drawings during construction. Experience in land development and the design of building related site civil (grading, utilities, storm drainage, stormwater management, and erosion control) is required. This individual should be self-motivated, collaborative and possess strong leadership skills with an initiative to deliver high quality, technically sound civil site designs.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
BS Degree in Civil Engineering or related Engineering discipline required
PE required
4 years of experience in civil site (land development) design required
Strong operating knowledge of Civil 3D required
Experience with modeling software such as Hydraflow Storm Sewers, Hydraflow Hydrographs, HydroCAD, Bentley StormCAD, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience with an architectural or engineering consulting firm desired
Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED/Envision desired but not required
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Knowledge of Microstation is a plus
