Our agile industrial team specializes in designing efficient facilities that optimize our clients bottom line.
Responsibilities:
Conceptualize the initial mechanical design approach for major phases of large industrial facilities projects.
Prepare engineering reports, plans and specifications for major projects. Design and produce engineering drawings and instructions based on calculations.
Interpret and revise engineering drawings.
Conceive, plan and conduct research in complex problem areas.
Prepare plans and technical specifications, contract documents and estimates.
Select and size equipment for systems.
Supervise the installation, repair and replacement of systems and ensure specifications and safety standards are met.
Participate in contract bidding and administration. Supervise and observe the design and ongoing progress of a project, including the coordination of the project with City, State and County officials and other outside agencies.
Assist in coordination of projects with clients, contractors, outside consultants and firm staff. Communicate and interact with project team members, client representatives, review agencies and others as appropriate to project.
Assist in resolving a variety of complex problems (e.g., conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, difficult coordination requirements).
Minimum Qualifications:

 

Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Prefer a minimum of 1-4 years in mechanical engineering systems design experience with a consulting firm for Industrial/Manufacturing/Process projects.
E.I. certification is required
Prefer LEED certification
Demonstrated knowledge using AutoCADD, REVIT software.
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong team player
Desirable Skills that are a "Plus":
Digitally curious and comfortable diving in and working with coding and automation
Design automation skills, including the application of parametric design tools such as Dynamo and Grasshopper
Software Coding -especially with Python, and/or C#
Working with Revit's API
Power BI for data visualization
