The Network Engineer IV is responsible for managing and maintaining the successful and continued operations of the company's computer network. This includes primarily IT projects, network equipment installs, and support, troubleshooting these systems, managing cybersecurity, and handling escalated issues at the highest level. Backup of other engineers as needed.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Establish and maintains network user environments, directories, security, network resources, network printing and applications access. Administers and maintains end-user accounts, permissions and access rights.
Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
Support all Fiserv-related applications installed by the bank, primarily the client server applications with oversight of Premier mainframe applications.
Strong Fiserv application and organization knowledge, i.e. who to contact, when to escalate, setting priorities, etc.
Strong matrix management influencing skills.
Assist in identifying high-value productivity gains, systems performance and best practices.
Manage multiple Fiserv projects simultaneously
Ensures Fiserv systems remain current with user and system software, hardware and service packs.
Responsible for support, upgrades and escalation of issues to 3rd party systems utilized by Deposit Services including Teller and Platform (BPM and Director), IPS Sendero (CECL), etc.
Coordinate Fiserv releases for all applications. Review release letters, determine immediate fixes/patches, enhancements, technical minimum expectations, etc.
Secures network system by establishing and enforcing policies; defining and monitoring access.
Communicates with project leaders concerning project progress and issues
Ensures systems remain current with user and system software, hardware and service packs.
Ensures system backups are complete, monitors and tests network performance, provides network performance statistics and reports, and performs assessments of network security and speed.
Maximizes network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with network architects on network optimization.
Secures network system by establishing and enforcing policies; defining and monitoring
access.
Oversees and directs the installation of end user hardware and software projects. Ensures projects are completed on budget and on time. Communicates with project leaders concerning project progress and issues.
Perform the day-to-day operations, management and administration to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information assets and technology infrastructures of the organization including managing: firewalls, PKI, data loss preventions, event log analysis and security audit remediation
Manages desktop support, providing technical services to employees by identifying, prioritizing, and resolving reported problems with desktop, laptop, and networked systems. Ensures that all phases of desktop support, including installations, upgrades, software, hardware, operating systems, and operating system configuration issues, are properly coordinated, monitored, tracked, and resolved.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations.
Proactively addresses and communicates issues as they arise. Advises management on problems and makes cost-effective recommendations.
Resolves system related issues both during and after banking hours.
Cross-sell bank products and services in a professional manner.
Complete required training associated with job function.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or extensive IT specialized training required

Experience:
Minimum of 5- 10 years of experience required.
Banking or finance is helpful, but not required.
Advanced training in CyberSecurity, Network and System Security, and Virtualization Technologies
CCNA, Security+, LPIC-1, and Security Related Certifications related to current environment

Skills:
A high level of interpersonal skills to communicate policies, procedures and objectives effectively to a diverse range of individuals.
Strong technical skills
Ability to effectively manage and supervise personnel and prioritize workload.
May be required to work earlier, later or longer than the normal work day.
Adequate knowledge of both internal policies and procedures and the respective state and federal laws and regulations governing departmental functions to ensure performance of individual job duties within the proper control environment.
