Job Description
Must be willing to work Overtime, and has Machine operating experience.
Description:
utilize machinery to pickle steel
utilize forklift to load steel coil to line
operate a 150 button cabinet to start machinery
utilize machine to bend, thread, shape, and rewind coils
unload product from the line
band and prepare product for shipment
gather samples for quality check
utilize basic math skills
ability to read tape measure, micrometers, and calipers
7pm-7am rotating schedule. Must be open to working all 7 days a week. Will work 2, off 2, work 3 and then off 3. 36 hours one week and 48 hours another week.
Training: 7am-3pm or 3pm-11am or 11pm-7am
MUST TRAIN ON 1st SHIFT. 7am-3pm. Need to be flexible to work 4 hours over shift end time during training period once moved to set shift
Candidates must be open to working 50+ hours and weekend when needed. Sundays are very rare.
After they have trained for 15-30 days then they will be required to work the Forced Over OT due to someone calling off. Will know 30 minutes prior to shift ending if they need to work 4 hours OT due to someone calling off. They may be asked to cover on a different shift than slotted but this coverage would only be for 5-10 days.
Starting pay is $21.50
Candidates will be on contract for 6+ months and then go into the United Steel Worked Union. Once in the union they will receive a $1 shift differential
