About Americas Distribution Services Division (ADSD)

Our Americas Distribution Services Division (ADSD)?provides governance and administration?of Cat® dealers across?the U.S., Canada and Latin America.

About the Role:

As the Division Communication Lead for ADSD you’ll work closely with the division leadership team and serve as a trusted advisor on their communication needs. In this role, you will develop and implement communication plans and strategies, own and support division communication channels, create compelling visual communications and presentations and plan and execute divisional events and more. Decisions made in this position are diverse with the potential for managing high-risk issues that are commonly confidential in nature.

Job duties include, but are not limited to the following:

You must have an extensive understanding of the enterprise strategy and align the division priorities accordingly. This position directly impacts the ADSD key strategic areas of focus by educating, informing, and energizing leaders and employees to understand how their day-to-day work impacts achievement of the company’s strategic business objectives. Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to the following:

+ Capture the voice of the business to accurately reinforce business priorities

+ Develop division-wide communication strategies, plans, services and deliverables

+ Ability to manage multiple, complex, high-pressure assignments under tight deadlines with complete accuracy and the highest quality

+ Ensure development, production and measurement of communication materials to achieve division and departmental objectives in alignment with corporate objectives

+ You will lead or be a team member for preparing for events such as division leadership impact summits, Executive Office presentations and / or deep dive reviews, and other significant events or processes as requested

+ Coach and mentor senior leadership on effective communication strategy development and delivery

+ Craft written materials for stakeholders on topics that are typically complex and multi-faceted where the primary audience is often global employees who are spread across production, office and remote environments

Basic Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree or higher

+ At least 5 years of progressive communications or marketing communications experience

+ Ability to travel up to 15% (some international – Canada, LATAM)

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

+ Experience creating enterprise-level written communications, presentation development, speechwriting, and storytelling

+ Experience developing and executing a strategic communication plan reflective of the core business objectives

+ Experience influencing and providing coaching and development across a large matrix organization

+ Experience in leveraging multiple communication channels to reach desired audiences including leaders, employee forums – including production, social media, media, etc.

Additional Information:

+ This position would ideally be located in Peoria, IL or Dallas, TX; however open to remote candidates within the U.S. but travel requirement will increase.
