Summary

A one-year, paid Medical Affairs Fellowship program during which the employee will gain knowledge and proficiency in Medical Affairs, Medical Information, and Health Economics and Outcomes Research. At 6-month increments, the company will evaluate the success of the employee and provide clear feedback for continuation/improvement. At the conclusion of the program, successful employees are eligible to be hired into one of the 3 subfunctions they’ve been exposed to.

Primary responsibilities for role (level-specific responsibilities should be included in the chart below):

Structure

Month 1 – 6

+ One consistent manager to provide guidance and mentorship. Manager will meet bi-weekly with employee to provide continual feedback and document observations.

+ Employee will work on projects and be exposed to leaders in Medical Affairs, Medical Information, and HEOR.

+ Minimum exposure of 2 months in each subfunction

Month 6-12

+ After the 6-month ’introduction" period, the Fellow will decide which area of Medical Affairs they would like to concentrate in and their last 6 months will be in that area. The manager from that area will provide guidance and mentorship. Manager will meet bi-weekly with employee to provide continual feedback and document observations.

+ Employee will work on projects central to that area of Medical Affairs.

Month 12

+ Final project / presentation to leaders

+ Define leaders to attend – virtual and in person presentation

+ Create a situation where employee can demonstrate presentation skills and knowledge of what has been learned, how the employee has benefitted from this experience.

Entry Level

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Education

PharmD graduate from accredited school. Clinical Certification preferred.

Experience

No experience necessary.

Equivalency

PharmD required.

Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment. Frequently sits for 6-8 hours per day. Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Frequently walks. Occasionally bends and twists neck. Light to moderate lifting and carrying objects with a maximum lift of 30lbs. Frequently drives to site locations with occasional travel within the United States. Able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Interacts with others, relates sensitive information to diverse groups.
