About the Role
Travel is, in many ways, the heart and soul of Uber. During pre-COVID business conditions, trips to and from the airport accounted for around 10% of Uber trips across the US and Canada and almost 20% of gross bookings. Yet, the overall percentage of ground transportation at airports fulfilled by Uber remains quite small. At Uber, we recognize an opportunity to help positively shape the travel experience for riders worldwide. The Uber Airport Ops team is obsessed with driving excellent airport experiences for our customers and works to be a true partner to airports.
The Airport Operations role is a unique opportunity to grow Uber's business with a focus on Uber's airport experience! This role will drive revenue growth strategy and operations for a portfolio of US & Canada airports.
This role calls for a combination of creative problem-solving, analytical skills, and interpersonal ability to lead strategic programs and partnerships with both airports and local government organizations. You should be as comfortable with data analysis as project management and building and maintaining external relationships! We seek a teammate who gravitates towards challenges and enjoys digging deep to solve problems.
What You'll Do:
Internal and External Advocate. Be the point of contact for a portfolio of airports and navigate internal processes to provide the best outcome for airport customers and our markets.
Cross-functional collaborator. You'll work with teams across business development, product, marketing, operations, legal, and finance teams to scope, test and implement new product ideas and tools for airports.
Lead initiatives. You'll lead initiatives across our business teams to grow strategic and long-term opportunities with our various airport teams.
Bring your analytical A-game. You'll build business models to better understand trends, provide practical insights, and track the productivity of initiatives to ensure we're driving toward the best possible outcome at airports.
Prioritization and Optimization. You're organized and always on top of your deadlines to ensure nothing gets missed. You'll pioneer new ways to add and improve existing airport relationships.
Lead contract renewal. Work with our business development team to drive growth and improved contract terms through standardized deal reviews.
Critical thinking and creative problem-solving. Navigate high-touch, premier airport challenges through strategic problem-solving and ideation.Basic Qualifications
3 years of experience
Willingness to travel 10-15%
Analytical skillsPreferred Qualifications
4+ years of professional experience.
SQL proficient
Experience in strategy, operations, and program management.
Partner management. Experience with managing cross-functional teams at all levels
Partnership Experience. Ability to have a 'sixth sense' when it comes to partnerships and that leads you to smoothly navigate multiple partner engagements. Experience leading external relationships is a bonus.
Product sense. You know what makes a product experience not just good, but amazing. You work cross-functionally with teams to create partner integrations that delight users and drive measurable impact.
Analytics. Validated analytical skills and data-driven decision making
An intuition for people. You're spending the majority of the time working with various internal and external teams, building and really cultivating new relationships with potential and existing teams and within all parts of an organization.
You're a self-starter and collaborator. Everywhere you go, you can't help but flex and stretch your critical thinking, pitching in as needed, but also knowing when to take control and lead a conversation with an engineer, a product manager, or airport executive.
Speed, resourcefulness, and go-getter attitude.This team moves fast and always operates in new spaces. You pick up things fast and run with them.
Experience in the travel industry and/or client services is a plus
For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $107,000 per year - $119,000 per year.
For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $107,000 per year - $119,000 per year.
