In support of this vision, the Capital Budget Analyst is responsible for assisting in the collection, analysis and monitoring of project financial data as it relates to the Tollway's capital program. This position will work with all departments at the Tollway including the Engineering Department while reporting to the Capital Budget Manager. This position will review and produce accurate and timely reports that convey the financial data of the program, including annual and multi-year capital budgets, quarterly cash flows, and quarterly financial reviews. This position will perform independent analysis of cost and budget information and will work with Project Managers to monitor the expenditures and budgets for all projects within the capital program.

Essential Job Functions

  • Maintain current and accurate records on the status of the annual and multi-year capital programs, including schedule and budget information.
  • Prepare and update the annual and multi-year program budget, including project draws for various alternate programs.
  • Prepare annual and multi-year program budget books, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Provide and maintain reports summarizing the difference between the projected and approved program schedule and budget.
  • Report on overall budget to be utilized by the Tollway as well as for presentation to the Board of Directors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required by management.
  • Performance will be evaluated on providing support to the Budget Manager with coordination, analysis, recommendation and forecasting activities that contribute to sound financial decision making.
