Job Description
MANUFACTURING ENGINEER
Take the next step in your career by joining a world class manufacturing operation with a close-knit team! Actalent is looking for a skilled Manufacturing Engineer with machine shop knowledge and experience to support a large heavy equipment OEM in the Peoria area.
RESPONSIBILITIES
-70% of the job will be machining process support – programming, fixture design, tooling selection, project management, CapEX projects.
-30% will be process improvement, cycle time reduction, routing parts through production.
+ Machine programming, Mastercam and G&M codes on machine.
+ Manage new machine installs cradle to grave
+ Hands on in new machine install, set up, and runoff
+ Work with Operators on machine process flow
+ Cycle time reduction
+ Designing fixtures and selecting tooling
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
Manufacturing Engineering experience in machining environment
Proven experience in CNC programming with MasterCAM and g and m code edits on machine
Experience with time studies and cycle time reduction in machining centers
Ability to design fixtures and proper tooling selection
CAD skills (Creo preferred)
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required
