Email a Friend Save Save Apply Now Position Summary: The Mechanic Senior is responsible for the preventative and standard maintenance of all mechanical equipment and their associated systems at Carle Richland facilities. Knowledge of fire alarm, plumbing, HVAC and sprinkler systems required. Qualifications: EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Certificate or associate’s degree in relevant field. Five (5) years experience in Facility Operations wil be accepted in lieu of education. CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS Driver’s License EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Five (5) years of experience in Facility Operations. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Understands how a wide variety of mechanical and electrical components function. Ability to operate equipment and the ability to function as a member of a team. Able to install/maintain plumbing systems and associated systems. Able to work on a variety of hospital equipment including medical air equipment. Ability to read blueprints. Familiarity with basic building, state, accessibility and ADA code requirements. Essential Functions:+ Identifies and corrects equipment malfunction in emergency situations, power failure, water leaks, etc.
+ Identifies and corrects mechanical and minor electrical deficiencies. Detects structural, general carpentry, and roofing problems and either corrects or has corrected by proper trades.
+ Conducts mechanical, and to some degree electrical, preventative maintenance checks
+ Perform assigned preventative maintenance.
+ Coordinates and plans relocation of personnel, furniture and equipment.
+ Installs furniture, cabinetry and some medical equipment.
