We have an exciting opportunity for you to join the team as a New Product Introduction (NPI) Manager where you can have an immediate and significant impact on an exciting product group with Team Caterpillar.
As the NPI Manager, you will report directly to the Vice President of Product Management for Motor Graders, guiding multi-functional teams accountable for delivering on new customer features for current and future product.
As the NPI Manager, you can expect to:
+ Create the vision and direction for the Motor Grader business. Translates to a series of near term and long-range strategies and functional plans
+ Manage a global team making a difference to our customer’s grading needs
+ Develop a deep understanding of the product, customer requirements, competition & cost drivers
+ Stay abreast of current product performance to ensure opportunities are addressed with future generations.
+ Pursue product cost reduction.
+ Ensure new product development addresses opportunities related to capacity, quality, supplier development, etc.
+ Communicate, collaborate and coordinate with other teams and business partners when required. Gain consensus from a variety of disciplines on appropriate goals, development plans and resources to assure program success.
+ Participate in all NPI decisions and activities (concept, design, build, test, release and production) directly impacting product group sales and profit, research, and capital investment.
The successful candidate must bring (Basic Qualifications):
+ A bachelor’s degree from and accredited college or university in Engineering or Business.
+ Demonstrated strong financial acumen.
+ Experience in operations and supply chain.
+ Experience working with global customers and partners.
Top candidates will also have:
+ Prior NPI program management experience.
This role requires up to 50% international travel.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation is to be in the office 3 days per week when not traveling.
