Robert Half is working on a Human Resources Director Opportunity for a client located in Chicago. The Human Resources Director will make an immediate impact with an inspired and entrepreneurial team. Unique opportunity to work in a corporate office and provide both strategic and hands on human resources expertise. This is a Direct Hire position flexible for a hybrid work schedule: Recruiter: Connie Stathopoulos

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Lead recruitment process for senior level positions at various companies

+ Manage overall human resources function for staff and provide support to affiliate entities

+ Recommend, develop, and implement human resources policies and procedures and ensure company-wide adherence

+ Recommend, develop, and implement a high-quality, company-wide performance review process

+ Assist in internal communications and implementation of culture and team-building strategies and programs

+ Participate in payroll and benefits administration in conjunction with in-house administrator and outside providers

+ Serve as a sounding board for employee matters and facilitate conflict resolution

+ Lead the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth integration of all employees and conveyance of the overall vision and strategy

+ Manage off-boarding process accurately and professionally

+ Handle all confidential and human resource matters with discretion

Requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

+ Minimum seven (10) years in a human resources capacity with experience in a privately-owned, mid-sized organization

+ Minimum of bachelor’s degree in human resources required

+ Advanced certification or degree preferred

+ Well versed in basic employment laws; remains current with HR laws and legislation

REQUIRED SKILLS

+ Self-motivated and self-starter

+ Proven ability to multitask and work independently

+ Highly organized, responsible, reliable and detail-oriented

+ Sensitive, mature and possesses a high level of emotional intelligence and people skills

+ Articulate and a strong communicator

+ Experienced problem-solver

+ Exceptional communication skills, writing skills and interpersonal skills

+ Adept to problem-solving and conflict resolution

+ Adaptable, flexible and resilient

+ Extensive knowledge of HR policies and systems
