Job Description

Chestnut Health Systems is seeking a full-time Research Assistant for our Normal, IL facility.  This is a remote position based in Lynchburg, VA.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide study information to potential referral sources and study participants.
  • Review informed consent with potential research participants.
  • Gather locating information for follow-up from study participants.
  • Gather intake assessment data, including the GAIN and any other information as needed in collaboration with treatment staff.
  • Learn and implement follow-up tracking procedures for study participants.
  • Conduct longitudinal follow-up interviews and proctor self-administered measures as necessary and as needed to gather follow-up data.
  • Make independent decisions to adjust schedule as needed to ensure timely enrollment of potential participants into research and/or collect follow-up data within “on time” schedules.
  • Abstract data from clinical records as needed.
  • Conduct quality assurance of data as needed prior to electronic data entry.
  • General monthly project management reports.
  • Learn applicable software and enter study data into the appropriate software.
  • Promote Chestnut’s culture of customer service excellence through the adherence to Chestnut’s behavioral standards for customer service.
  • Maintain and protect confidentiality of all organization information gained in the course of performing job responsibilities including, but not limited to, financial and client information.
  • Other duties consistent with prior training and experience and as assigned.
