Shift Details: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM | Monday - Friday | $20.00/hr
As a Dispatcher, your primary role is to guide and coordinate the movement of goods, vehicles, or people. You'll receive requests and assign tasks to drivers or other personnel while monitoring their progress. Communication with customers is also essential, as you'll need to update them on delivery or service status and address any issues. You'll use computer systems and software to track and record data, such as pick-up and delivery times, routes, and fuel consumption. In emergencies, you may need to reroute vehicles or notify authorities quickly. Overall, Dispatchers play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and timely transportation operations. To become a Dispatcher, you'll need previous data entry/clerical work experience, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, customer service experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs periodically.
