EquipmentShare is searching for a Director of Accounting & Financial Reporting to add to the Accounting & Financial Reporting team at our Corporate office in Columbia, MO with the option of working a hybrid remote schedule. Key Responsibilities

+ Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, play an integral role in the accounting & financial reporting for complex business transactions of a rapidly growing, nation-wide business.

+ Be an active participant in evaluating and addressing technical accounting & financial reporting matters related to new business activities and significant transactions.

+ Lead team in accounting for leases (as lessee and as lessor), debt & equity transactions, revenue recognition, capitalized internal use software, acquisition accounting, investments, and more!

+ Prepare analyses of financial information to identify trends and interpret business results.

+ Play a key role in the Company’s year-end financial statement audit, including the preparation of the consolidated financial statements and footnotes. You’ll work with various functions within the Company as well as our external auditors throughout the audit process.

+ Work with the team (including Corporate Controller, Chief Financial Officer, Business Development, and others) on strategic initiatives and ad hoc projects.

+ Mentor and develop others.

Skills & Qualifications

+ Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting.

+ At least 8 years of progressive public accounting experience with a Big 4 firm. A CPA is required.

+ Be analytical, curious, and possess the desire to understand the numbers, ensure accuracy, and be capable of identifying and interpreting key business trends.

+ Clear and concise business writer.

+ Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can adapt quickly to change.

+ Ability to multi-task to meet deadlines. Must be reliable to deliver on project assignments.

+ High level of integrity, trust, and confidentiality required.
