Who we are looking for:
We're looking for an experienced JD Edwards Financial Management Senior Business Analyst to help us transform our North American operations to a single and common JD Edwards-enabled solution. The Senior Business Analyst will work with the business process owners and users to define the business processes and requirements that drive how the ERP system is implemented, deployed, and updated. This position will be responsible for Atkore's JDE Financial Management functionality, service, and support, and will be primarily project delivery. The person will report to the IT Manager Financial Management and will work closely with all ERP user groups across Atkore, including Sales, Manufacturing, Finance, Customer Service, Production, Order Management, Warehousing and Distribution.
The primary responsibility of this position will be to spend 24-36 months deploying JD Edwards across our North American facilities. As a result, we expect this position will require 25-30% travel for the first 2-3 years, then 10-15% travel per year afterward.
What you'll do:
ERP Enhancement and Project Implementation
Deliver, initiate, and lead ERP-related projects and enhancements in Financial Management, including Address Book, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Flex Accounting, DMAAIs/AAIs
Thoroughly understands Atkore's business practices and procedures in order to design, develop and maintain automated workflow processes.
Work with ERP systems users and management across the organization to determine appropriate system configuration and setup.
Conduct in-depth tests for modified and new systems or applications.
Create documentation for applications developed.
ERP Maintenance & Support
Provide day to day support to ERP users.
Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve ERP system issues reported by end users.
Maintain current knowledge and understanding of ERP applications and computer hardware operating systems.
Customer Partnership and Support
Participate in internal Lean and Kaizen events.
Support customer initiatives and operational activities.
Attend customer KPI reviews and meetings as requested.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What you bring:
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related/relevant field.
At least 5 years' experience implementing enterprise IT applications, defining, and mapping business processes, and understanding integration between various applications.
Strong business knowledge of the J.D. Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.2 ("JDE ERP") package with specific focus on Financial Management, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Flex Accounting, and Master Data supporting those functions.
Knowledge of Fixed Assets, Manufacturing Accounting and Orchestration is a plus. Experience with JDE Object Management Workbench and Development is a plus.
A proven record of strong internal customer service, on-time and on-budget completion of projects and enhancements, and continuous improvement of the capabilities within your function.
Strong business acumen and understanding of business operations, along with good communication and documentation skills, and experience working with all levels of staff to define business and technical requirements.
An ability to get support and buy-in for recommendations and decisions.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to deliver commitments while managing multiple priorities. This will require familiarity with the development life cycle and its implementation.
Within 3 months, you'll:
Complete your new hire "Immersion" so that you are ready to rock in your new role.
Develop relationships with the key stakeholders for this role.
Be well-versed in Atkore's Financial Management processes as well as business and IT solutions.
Provide limited customer support for production down and continuous improvement activities.
Within 6-months, you'll:
Have started to become a subject matter expert for Atkore-specific business processes and IT solutions.
Become a problem-solver and provide full production support with limited assistance.
Make recommendations regarding business processes and IT solutions.
