Position: Software Test Co-op - 5G Core Networks.
Duration: 3 months+
Date : Sept 5th to Dec 22nd , 2023
Location: Onsite / Hybrid.

Cloud and Network Services

Education Recommendations

Currently a candidate for Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Telecom Engineering, with an accredited school in US.

 

What you will learn and contribute to

The successful candidate will be part of the Mobile Gateway (MG) organization within the Cloud and Network Services (CNS) Core Networks group. The candidate will work in a team of highly motivated and talented software engineers, responsible for delivering new capabilities on Mobile gateways that delivers packet core solutions for multiple access evolutions, including 3G, 4G, and 5G. These gateways are deployed by leading wireless service providers to provide the 5G service to end users.

As part of our team, you will:
Contribute on testing various functionalities of the mobile gateway
Work on understanding various virtualization technologies and cloud platforms.
Contribute to adding new testcases in our automation framework written in Python and TCL scripting languages.

What is Nokia looking for from me

You have:
Currently enrolled in a Master's degree program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer networking field.
Strong programming skills (Python, Java, etc).
Knowledge of basic computer networking (e.g. OSI layer, TCP/IP)
Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems.
Strong analytical skills and inclination to debug complex problems.


It would be nice if you also had:
Telecommunications experience
Data center Virtualization experience
