The Learning and Development Manager will define, develop,
and deliver training programs that improve employees' productivity and support
and advance their education and development. The learning and development
programs will be fully aligned with the overall organizational objectives and
delivered in an effective, well structured, informative, and interactive
way. The L&D Manager will have the
flexibility of working remotely.

Principle Accountabilities:

Partners with business leaders to identify, coordinate and
develop training programs which align with business goals.
Creatively designs and implements company-wide training and
developmental programs based on the needs of the business.
Manages and provides direction to three Learning and
Development Specialists, two primarily focused on delivering and facilitating
Leadership training company-wide and the other on operational training
programs.
Performs skills assessments, analyzes learning needs and
develops training materials designed to meet those needs.
Strategizes and delivers training programs to the target
audience and conducts train-the-trainer sessions as needed.
Develops KPIs to measure training programs' effectiveness
and presents recommendation to senior management explaining ROIs.
Ensures training materials are current and updated.
Assesses and tracks the success of training materials and
programs, and makes improvements.
Selects training tools or training delivery mechanisms,
based on the material being taught and the audience being targeted.
Documents employee attendance or performance at mandatory
training sessions.
Incorporates existing training programs in the future
training design and partners with those currently involved in its delivery.
Conducts remote training using the appropriate technology.
Strives to continually strengthen PCA's business philosophy
of meeting needs and exceeding expectations for customers specifically
supporting PCA's Commitment to Service which involves doing what's right for
our customers, focusing on strategies that add value and support growth, and
keeping the promises that we make.
Knows and follows policies and procedures of the company,
shares information that would benefit other members of the team, and finds ways
to improve the delivery of service to our customers.
Travels to PCA locations as needed.
Other duties and special projects as assigned by the
Executive Director, Corporate HR, and Director, Corrugated HR.
Position Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design, Development or
related field.
Minimum 10 years of related experience. Manufacturing or industrial experience
preferred.
Knowledge of training and development practices and methods,
trained in curriculum development including the design, revisions, and
implementation of instructional materials for the variety of technical and
ownership skills.
Skills and ability to facilitate learning through a
combination of online, classroom, hands on, virtual and on-the-job training.
Strong presentation, group facilitation, and public speaking
skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, confidence in
influencing, consulting and partnering with various audiences.
Experience working with leaders at all levels.
Proficient in MS Office - Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word.
Strong listening, evaluating, and problem-solving
skills.
Ability to create alternative solutions and meet
deadlines.
Previous experience working in a team environment is
preferred, or a strong understanding of the importance of open communication
and information sharing among colleagues.
Independent and able to manage time with little to no
direction.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Must be able to travel as necessary and possess valid
documents for travel via air and car.
